Valle del Crati durum wheat semolina pasta is handcrafted by working only selected Italian grains; it is bronze and dried at low temperatures, so as to maintain a high content of proteins and nutrients. Fusilli they are one of the best known typical Calabrian pasta formats, closely linked to the peasant tradition. Their characteristic shape is given by the particular workmanship around a small iron: the loaves of dough are placed and modeled around this iron on a floured wooden pastry board. Uses in the kitchen
Fusilli are traditionally accompanied by full-bodied tomato and meat-based sauces, but their consistency and porosity also make them perfect for vegetable-based sauces, mushrooms and white fish ragout. They will make every lunch special!
Tips for perfect cooking
- Use 6 liters of water for 500 g
- Add salt and when the water boils, add the pasta.
- Stir occasionally.
- When cooked, drain and season as desired.
- Cooking time: 10-12 mins.
