Fileja Piccanti - Valle del Crati

Try the traditional Fileja from Tropea in the chilli version. To make this pasta even tastier, we have added our 'nduja cream: the perfect dish for lovers of spicy flavours!

A first course with simple, rustic ingredients: for those who like to get carried away by typical Calabrian flavours, this is really ideal. The crunchy note of toasted bread crumbs makes it even more special! 

Ingredients for two people

· 200 g Fileja with chilli Pepper

· One teaspoon of 'nduja cream

· A dozen or so Arraganate black olives

· Oregano to taste

· 4 anchovies in oil

· One garlic clove

· Extra virgin olive oil to taste

· Salt to taste

· 4 tablespoons of breadcrumbs 


Cook the fileja in plenty of salted water.

In the meantime, pour a generous amount of oil into a large frying pan. Add the finely chopped garlic, anchovies and a teaspoon of 'nduja.

Keeping the flame low, we melt the anchovies and 'nduja in the oil.

Finally add the olives.

In a separate frying pan, toast the breadcrumbs with a drop of oil.

When it is golden and crispy we can turn it off and set it aside.

Once the pasta is ready, we drain it and plunge it into the pan in the spicy sauce. We keep some of the cooking water aside and stir over a high flame. Add a sprinkling of oregano and we are ready to serve.  

We serve after sprinkling our pasta with crunchy breadcrumbs and enjoy!
