If you love healthy, wholesome breakfasts with a
rustic flavour and plenty of energy, we suggest this delicious recipe. A
perfect doughnut for breakfast and snack time, to accompany a cup of milk or
yoghurt.

Ingredients for a 22/24 cm mould

300 g wholemeal flour

80/100 g brown sugar
·
100 g fig molasses
·
40 ml milk or vegetable drink
·
150 ml seed oil
·
3 eggs
·
1 sachet baking powder
·
100 g walnuts
Method
In a bowl, break the eggs and add the sugar; with a
whisk, start whipping the mixture until frothy.
Add the milk, oil and molasses, continuing to stir;
sift the baking powder and add it to the flour, adding it by spoonfuls to the
mixture, so as not to form lumps. Now also add half of the coarsely chopped
walnuts.
Grease and flour the baking tin, pour in the mixture,
decorate the surface with the remaining walnuts and bake in a preheated oven at
170° for about 45 minutes, always testing with a toothpick.
