The liquorice and clementine cake is the cake that will turn your break time with a pleasant freshness.

A sweet, aromatic and fragrant cake with an all-Calabrian taste, perfect for a breakfast full of energy and originality!

For this original cake, in fact, we have combined two typical flavours of our land, liquorice and clementines, which go very well together giving a pleasant taste to the palate.

Ingredients:

- 200 g flour 00
- 2 eggs
- 16 g chemical baking powder
- 120 g sugar
- 50 ml olive oil
- 100 ml milk
- 1 teaspoon liquorice powder
- clementine peel
- 200 g extra clementine jam 


Method:

Place the eggs, sugar, pinch of salt and clementine zest in a bowl; whisk with an electric whisk until a light, airy froth forms.

Pour the milk and oil into the bowl, continuing to whisk.

Now pour the sifted flour, liquorice powder and baking powder into the bowl.

Mix from top to bottom with a spatula.

Pour half of the resulting mixture into a buttered and floured cake tin.

Pour the Valle del Crati extra clementine jam over the mixture in spoonfuls; cover with the remaining mixture.

Bake in a previously heated oven at 180° C, static mode, for 30 minutes.

When the cake is cooked, remove from the oven and allow to cool on a wire rack.

Your delicious liquorice and clementine cake is ready to be enjoyed!
