Fico Plumcake

A soft, mouth-watering plumcake that smells of summer? Fig!
Our Plumcake with Figs  is a very simple cake to prepare: all you need is a bowl, a fork and a little patience (to wait for the baking time!).

We have enriched it with Peasant-Style Figs, soft and caramelised figs, which add a touch of natural flavour and make us enjoy the goodness of fresh figs all year round, even on grey and cold days.

A couple of slices and your breakfast will be full of sunshine and energy even under plaid!

Ingredients for 12 servings:

300 g flour
3 eggs
125 g white yoghurt
60 g oil to taste
100 g sugar
200 g Peasant-style Figs
1 sachet of yeast
grated orange peel

Method:

Turn on the oven to 180 degrees static.
In a bowl whisk the eggs with the sugar, then add the yoghurt, oil, orange zest and mix.

Add the flour and baking powder, stirring to avoid lumps.
Pour half of the mixture into the buttered and floured cake tin.
Add the coarsely chopped figs to the remaining mixture. Stir and pour into the mould, levelling out.

Bake in a static oven preheated to 180 degrees for 30 minutes plus another 15 with a fan oven.
Always do the toothpick test!

Cool on a granulate and then dust with icing sugar to taste.
