You know those cold, dreary days when getting your foot out of the covers seems like a chore? Here, with this recipe you will find a good reason to get out of bed and have breakfast. A warm and creamy porridge, full of energy and really comforting that you can enjoy curled up in an armchair wrapped in a soft plaid, for a slow and relaxing breakfast.
Ingredients for 1 cup:
- 50 g rice
- 200 ml milk or vegetable drink
- 1 pinch of cinnamon
- Fig molasses to taste
- almonds
- chia seeds
Method
Cook the rice with the milk and a pinch of cinnamon. Simmer for 25-30 minutes, stirring occasionally, until smooth and velvety. Once ready, add a teaspoon of fig molasses for an irresistible natural sweetness, and top with crunchy almonds and chia seeds as topping.
For an extra touch, add fresh fruit such as figs or berries.
