Uses in the kitchen
Laurel is used to flavor various dishes: soups, meats (especially game) and fish, cooked in the oven or on the grill. Suitable for marinating meats or for making fish stocks. Excellent for flavoring legumes during cooking or to flavor potatoes cooked in the oven. It is also used to make excellent infusions: bay leaves are dipped in boiling water and left to infuse for about ten minutes.
