ORIGIN AND QUALITY
We select high-quality turmeric powder sourced from controlled and sustainable farms. The roots are harvested at the peak of ripeness, carefully dried and ground to preserve their vibrant colour, characteristic aroma and natural active ingredients. This process allows us to offer you a powder that not only adds colour and flavour, but also expresses all the richness and vitality of the natural ingredient, ideal for enhancing any dish.
WAYS TO USE IT
Turmeric powder is extremely versatile and works well in both sweet and savoury dishes, as well as in hot and cold recipes. Here are a few practical tips:
Curry and Asian dishes
It is the key ingredient in curry. Add it to sautéed vegetables, sauces and stews made with meat, fish or pulses to give them a golden colour and a distinctive flavour.
Rice and grains
Add a teaspoon to the water when cooking rice to produce golden, fragrant rice. Also excellent with quinoa, spelt or barley.
Golden milk and drinks
Dissolve a teaspoon in warm milk (cow’s milk or plant-based milk) with a pinch of black pepper, cinnamon and honey to make traditional golden milk, the quintessential drink of Ayurvedic medicine.
Soups and purées
It adds colour and flavour to lentil soups, pumpkin purées and vegetable broths. It goes perfectly with ginger and coconut.
Scrambled eggs and tofu
A pinch of turmeric on scrambled eggs or pan-fried tofu adds colour and flavour without overpowering the original taste.
Marinades and dressings
Perfect for marinating chicken, fish and tofu before cooking. Mixed with oil, lemon, garlic and spices, it creates a golden, aromatic marinade.
Doughs and pastries
It can be added to doughs for bread, focaccia or savoury tarts to give them a warm colour and a subtle exotic aroma.
How much should you use?
• Curry and spicy dishes: 1–2 teaspoons per 4 servings
• Rice and grains: 1 teaspoon per 300 g of uncooked rice
• Golden milk: 1 teaspoon per cup of milk (250 ml)
• Soups and purées: 1/2 - 1 teaspoon per 4 servings
• Marinades: 1 teaspoon per 500 g of main ingredient
• Savoury doughs: 1/2 teaspoon per 250 g of flour
Rule of thumb: turmeric has a warm, slightly bitter flavour. It’s best to start with a small amount and add more gradually to suit your taste. Always combine it with a pinch of black pepper: piperine, found in black pepper, helps the body absorb curcumin, turmeric’s main active ingredient.
Serving suggestion: to bring out the flavour, briefly heat the turmeric in a little hot oil before adding the other ingredients. This step, known as ‘blooming’, releases the aromatic compounds and intensifies the flavour.
WHY CHOOSE TURMERIC POWDER IN THE KITCHEN
✔️ Adds colour and flavour with just a small amount
✔️ Dissolves perfectly in liquids, sauces and doughs
✔️ No waste: keeps for a long time without losing its intensity
